Boston City Hall Wedding Civil Ceremony
BOSTON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Thinking of getting married at Boston City Hall? Located in the heart of Government Center, Boston City Hall is a favorite for those looking to elope or tie the knot in an efficient and intimate way. After signing in for your appointment, your civil ceremony is officiated by a city clerk in room 601 on the 6th floor. The service lasts about ten minutes, and once your union is complete, we’re off to explore all the wonderful photographic opportunities this location has to offer!
Boston City Hall was built in the style of brutalist architecture, known for minimalist construction and monochromatic bare building materials. While not as flashy as other architectural landmarks, the building is beloved by photographers such as myself for its interplay of lines, geometry, and light. From its stairwells bathed in natural light to private nooks, I loved exploring this location with newlyweds T&Y, and you better believe I had my wide-angle lens on hand to gobble up all the amazing perspectives. Though a chilly January day, T&Y also endured the winds of Government Center Plaza with their two fur babies so we could capture some must-have pictures against the backdrop of beautiful downtown Boston.
