NEWBURYPORT PLUM ISLAND FAMILY PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

I knew this was going to be a great session when little O. greeted me from the outset with an ear to ear grin. It was a grin filled with curiosity and excitement, the kind of smile we all need these days and a reminder of all things joyous in life. Two year old O. and her family were visiting Plum Island for the weekend and scheduled a family portrait session to document their autumn afternoon together on the beach.

As with all of my family portrait sessions, I love to include a combination of both posed moments and freestyle interaction, with participants focused as much as possible on each other rather than just the lens. Kids, of course, are all for the latter, because what kid doesn’t love to play, run, and tumble around in the sand? O’s smile never faded from start to finish, and her energy kept us all playful and in good spirits for the whole session.
