A favorite spot for taking an evening stroll in the city, Comm Ave is also a beautiful and popular engagement proposal location in Boston. I love photographing nighttime engagement proposals — familiar locations take on a fresh look after the sun sets, with the city lights making for the perfect backdrop for your romantic surprise. When taking pictures at night, typically busy locations like Commonwealth Ave or Boston Public Garden are also less crowded and more private, which is something to consider for those preferring to propose in a public spot with less eyes around. Speaking of Boston Public Garden, this is also a beautiful location to propose at night, particularly along the footbridge with the added holiday lights. Every bit of light helps when photographing at night, and the park provides plenty of illumination for us to shoot with the existing light rather than firing off a flash.
