Amesbury Holiday Family Portrait Session

AMESBURY, MA FAMILY PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER

 
What a beautiful way to spend an early December morning! Sure, there was a chill to the air, but this family dialed up the temperature with their energy, warmth, and willingness to have fun right from the start. M. and his wife thought Downtown Amesbury would be the perfect location for their holiday family session, not only for the quaint shops and cozy architecture, but for the added bonus of the seasonal and Christmas decor dressing up the town. Main Street, Millyard Amphitheater, and the Powwow River were ours to enjoy alone early that Sunday, hours before the crowds would come for the annual Amesbury Christmas Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony.

The natural light in the morning hours can be just as wonderful for photography as late afternoon and often makes for vibrant contrast and color this time of year with the low winter sun and crisp skies. Morning sessions are also ideal for the little ones if they tend to be in better spirits earlier in the day — a consideration just as important, if not more so, than the light! The other benefit to consider with morning sessions is the opportunity to make other plans for the remainder of the day, verses watching the clock or staying close to home for a session later in the afternoon.
